Bathroom and Kitchen Cleaning Tips

Tile is popularly used in the bathroom since it is very durable and easy to clean. However, tiles those are left untouched for a length of time will accumulate mineral and soap deposits. Also, be located in an environment often filled with moisture, mildew and mold are easily grown which would be left grout stains on tiles. Bathroom and kitchen are obviously the places where are full of stains. Here are some tips for cleaning the bathroom.

1. Cleaning tools

Some simple cleaning tools are greatly helpful. Bathroom cleaner and a kitchen scrub sponge can help you to erase the stubborn dirt and mold effectively. Wet the tiles and spray on the cleaner from the top to the bottom. And after 30 second of waits, you can start scrubbing tiles.

2. Two kinds of scrubbing methods

Scrubbing the whole area and focusing on the surface of the tiles as well as the grout. There are two ways of scrub to focus on different parts of tiles. Scrubbing in circular motions and putting a good bit of pressure on the surfaces of tiles. The edges of the tiles should be scrubbed back and forth in straight lines. Rinse with warm water.

3. Methods to clean stubborn deposits 

What should be noticed is that some kinds of deposits are extremely stubborn. High iron in the water will leave a brown stain, hard water will leave a green stain and soap will leave a milky film, which are hard to erase. Start simple with a scrubbing of white vinegar, which can make tiles become clean and shiny. Also, there are bathroom cleaners designed to remove rust or iron deposits, try scrubbing with them next. If all else fails, toilet bowl cleaner could be tried. This is very caustic and can also corrode your plumbing fixtures so keep them rinsed and do not leave on very long.

4. How to clean the grout

Cleaning the grout is essential if they were stained. If your grout is white, spray on a little diluted liquid bleach and let stand for a few minutes before rinsing. Baking soda paste is better to clean colored grout, and just scrubbing in a circular motion. If these do not work, you had better use a commercial grout cleaner according to their directions.

Warnings:

1. Always wear gloves when using chemical cleaners.

2. If use a spray cleaners, wear a facial mask.

3. Keep children far from when cleaning the bathroom or kitchen using chemical cleaners.
